2024 Missouri School Plant Managers Association Conference

October 7, 2024 – Last week, #TeamBCS attended the Missouri School Plant Managers Association (MSPMA) conference and tradeshow in Branson, Missouri. For those unfamiliar with MSPMA, this event is an excellent opportunity for professionals in the K-12 market to connect with school districts across Missouri, particularly those involved in facilities management.

The conference kicked off with a Sunday morning golf scramble and clay shoot, providing a perfect chance to bond with industry partners, fostering camaraderie and creating lasting memories. The day’s events continued with several Kansas City Chiefs watch parties hosted by various groups, culminating in the Chiefs’ 17-10 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers. Later that evening, the annual MSPMA Poolside Social took place in the courtyard of the Hilton Branson.

For the fourth consecutive year, BCS hosted our Poolside Social After Party, this time at Bricktown Brewery at Branson Landing. The weather was perfect for gathering with friends over food, drinks, and cornhole on the patio, with scenic views of Lake Taneycomo adding to the relaxed atmosphere.

Day two of the MSPMA conference offered an excellent platform for attendees to engage with industry experts through interactive sessions, helping professionals enhance their skills and knowledge. One of the main highlights of the conference is the vendor expo, where participants can explore innovative solutions and gather insights from multiple vendors in one central location. MSPMA also promotes professional growth through educational sessions that cover a range of topics, including classroom environments, preventative maintenance, design and construction, leadership, and various certification programs.

Day three continued with a half-day of more engaging learning workshops. In addition, the conference is a fantastic hub for networking. Attendees have the chance to connect with peers, share challenges, and exchange best practices in a laid-back setting. This blend of education, problem-solving, and social interaction helps professionals build strong relationships and a supportive network within the educational facilities management community.

If you’re seeking valuable networking opportunities and genuine connections with those in the Missouri K-12 facility management, we hope to see you there next year!
