The Partnership:
After a tornado ripped through Greensburg and their facility, Kiowa County Memorial Hospital set out to build a bigger and better hospital with LEED Certification. Building automation controls became a necessary addition to make the certification a reality. Kiowa partnered with BCS for their reputation and strong presence among similar facilities. During the process, BCS assisted a smooth integration of a new system for the staff, the LEED Certification requirements and system design. The team succeeded in building the first critical access hospital in the United States to LEED Platinum standards.
Today, BCS continues finding solutions for complex needs and provides ongoing system support and training. BCS also fulfills demands in other aspects of the facility, such as security equipment. The Siemens direct digital controls building automation system keeps temperatures at set points throughout the facility by monitoring and controlling the hospital’s mechanical equipment. Maintaining the appropriate temperature is vital to preserving compliance, safety and a healing atmosphere for patients. BCS’s supports on-site and with remote controls and alerting.
